Waeldchestag-German Outing Event (6th March 2014)

On 6th March 2014 a total of nearly 30 members attended in our Waeldchestag - an annual German Outing Event at Sentosa Island.

We started off our journey through `Boardwalk` into Sentosa Island with all the participants.

Participants were divided into 4 groups. 

The groups were required to compete with each other with games created by the new committee members, in order to achieve as the champion.

In the first game , they played a game called `In-tune` . Teamwork is important and they needed to sing songs while eating some mystery items .

We had our lunch at `Nature Walk'. 

    

We also played dodgeball at the Siloso beach with `power cards`. 

In the last game, each team was asked to search for total of 30 ping pong balls buried in the sands around certain area of the beach. 

The ping pong balls provided clues leading them to find a 'mystery person' . 

Team 1 found the person and won the game!

Congratulation!

We ended with prize giving ceremony and took a group photo on this beautiful beach.

We have created another wonderful memory with the German Club members at Sentosa Island.

Nice outing and we enjoyed it very much!

OPEN HOUSE 2014 - Der Treff German Club (9-11Jan 2014)

The NYP Open House 2014 took place from 9th Jan to 11th Jan 2014.

It was an annual event for various Schools and CCAs to showcase themselves to the graduated Secondary School Students

 DER TREFF GERMAN CLUB held a booth at Block S level 1.

Foreign Language Cultural Day (6th Dec 2013)

The Foreign Language Cultural Night 

was held on 6th Dec 2013 at NYP Theatre of the Art (TFA). 

What a wonderful night as we have enjoyed with various cultural performances from 3 different countries - Germany, France and Japan.

 Der Treff  presented an ancient German Legend Tale - Ring of the Nibelungen, das Nibelungenleid with main characters of Siegfried and Kremhild which included a traditional Dance and Richard Wagner's music.

Several months prior to the performance, we put in a lot of effort in the props making and rehearsals .
