Oktoberfest cum German Movie Appreciation(29 OCT 2013)

Our Oktoberfest was held on the 29th October 2013. 

Instead of just playing games, we watched "WUNDERKINDER" to kick start the event, 

then followed by food and games. 

The highlight of the evening was having a German student, 

Dennis, joining us in this Oktoberfest.

Hat & Costume Making cum German Appreciation Month(27 Nov 2013)

   Welcome to our  German Hat & Costume Making cum German Appreciation Month on 27 Dec 2013 @ S475!

There were a total of 15 members participated in this event.

Besides costume workshop, we had a pre-Christmas celebration with lots of Christmas decoration and gift exchange session.

We had created 4 sets of German Traditional Costumes & Hats.

There were Blackforest ,Berlin, Niedersachsen and Sachen.

We were exposed to different German Tradition by joining this event.

We got to know various costumes and hats from different tribes in different parts of Germany.

It was enriching to get to know about German Culture.

This would be the 2nd last event organized by our 13/14 batch of Der Treff German Club Committees.

Look out for our last and final event which will be Jan GML!

Annual German Baking Session (24 July 2013)

Our German Baking Session was held on 24 July 2013 @ S474. 

A total of 31 members attending this event. 

Participants have the opportunity to bake traditional German desserts. 

We baked:

GUGELHUPF (European Bundt cake),

BANANEN-NUSSKUCHEN (Banana nut cake), 

SCHOKOLADEN MACARONS (Chocolate macaroons)

MARMORKUCHEN (Marble cake) &

ZITRONENKUCHEN (Lemon Cake),

In this event,we have tackled our limited knowledge of baking with our creativity and teamwork.
 It was a good distraction from the pressure of the upcoming semester examination as lots of fun and laughter was shared amongst our team mates.
